Dental Practice IT · Vancouver, BC
Dental offices have their own IT rhythm. Imaging servers that cannot go down mid-appointment. Practice management software that breaks every time there is a Windows update. Patient records under PIPEDA and the College of Dental Surgeons of BC. Hexafusion supports Vancouver and Lower Mainland dental clinics with practice-aware IT, 15-minute response times, and engineers who know the difference between a Tracker patch and a server crash.

Imaging is where a dental practice IT environment succeeds or fails. A panoramic X-ray that takes 90 seconds to open is a clinical problem, not just a technical one. We build imaging infrastructure with the following in mind:
A BC dental office holds some of the most sensitive personal information there is. That means specific obligations under the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and, for matters within BC's jurisdiction, the Personal Information Protection Act of BC. The BC College of Oral Health Professionals (which consolidated the former College of Dental Surgeons of BC and related colleges in 2022) also prescribes record retention and professional practice standards. We operationalize these requirements so you do not have to.
An IT problem during a crown seat is a clinical problem. We schedule our work around yours:
Dental offices need to know when help will arrive. Our SLA commitments:
Founded in 2020 by Alex Barari, a former PCI DSS Internal Security Assessor, Hexafusion grew out of the conviction that small and mid-sized businesses deserve the same quality of IT and security that larger enterprises get. Dental offices fit that brief exactly. You operate regulated, highly sensitive environments on tight budgets and tighter schedules. A cookie-cutter managed IT provider does not work. Our engineers are Microsoft, Cisco, and CompTIA certified, we are a Dell authorized partner for hardware procurement, and we are headquartered at 250-997 Seymour St in downtown Vancouver, a short drive from most Lower Mainland clinics.
We work alongside your practice management vendor, not around them. We document everything. We do not make changes without telling you. When a problem recurs, we look for the root cause rather than closing the ticket and waiting for the next one. That is what practice-aware IT looks like.
Do you work with our existing dental software vendor?
Yes. We coexist with practice management vendors. Application bugs escalate to Tracker, Dentrix, ClearDent, ABELDent, Open Dental, Curve Dental, or Maxident. Infrastructure, network, and workstation issues are ours.
Can you coexist with a dental software vendor support contract?
Yes. Most Vancouver dental offices keep the software vendor contract for application issues and hire us for the IT surrounding it. We have standard handoff patterns for each major platform.
Do you handle dental insurance software integrations?
Yes. We support claims and EFT workflows in your practice management software, including CDAnet and ITRANS connectivity.
What about HIPAA if we see US patients?
If your practice sees US patients, HIPAA obligations may apply on top of PIPEDA. We configure encryption, access logging, and audit trails that meet both, and document the controls for your compliance file.
How do we comply with PIPEDA for patient records?
Encryption at rest and in transit, access logging, role-based permissions, a written privacy policy, breach response procedures, and appropriate retention. We implement and document each control.
