From Break-Fix Frustration to a Fully Managed IT Environment
Problem
A growing manufacturing company had an IT provider on paper, but in practice, they were largely on their own. Support was inconsistent, response times were slow, and staff regularly had to fix their own IT problems just to keep production moving. Aging workstations that were no longer manufacturer-supported were causing recurring failures, and nobody had a plan to address them.
Solution
Hexafusion started with a full environment assessment and immediate stabilization. We identified the most problematic systems, addressed urgent issues, and built a phased hardware replacement plan so the client could modernize without a single large upfront cost. As new equipment arrived, we handled all on-site deployments, workstation setup, software configuration, and Microsoft 365 setup, including secure data wiping and responsible recycling of retired devices.
When the business outgrew its office and relocated, Hexafusion managed the full IT move - servers, switches, firewall, workstations, and wireless access points - ensuring staff were operational from day one in the new space. Post-move, we deployed a new domain controller, implemented Active Directory for centralized single sign-on, and replaced aging switches with Cisco business-class hardware. We also reorganized the server room, cleaned up rack cabling, replaced failing UPS (uninterruptible power supply) units, and upgraded network cabling throughout the facility.
Throughout the engagement, we supported Windows desktops, laptops, tablets, and a wide range of operational peripherals including printers, scanners, and receipt printers. Where needs fell outside our direct scope, we recommended trusted third-party solutions rather than proposing solutions outside our expertise.
We needed a partner who actually showed up, a plan for aging equipment, and support that kept production running. That is what we got. Operations leadership, anonymized
